There are 2 types of objects created by Blue Prism - internal business objects and visual business objects.

Objects created by Blue Prism

After installing Blue Prism you have access to a range of objects created by Blue Prism. These will give you additional functionality that you can use in a process. For example, the MS Excel object will contain various actions that allow Blue Prism to interact with Excel. There are 2 types of objects created by Blue Prism - internal business objects and visual business objects.

1. Internal Business Objects

The actions in these objects cannot be edited in the object studio and can only be used in the process. A list of these objects is shown below.

2. Visual Business Objects

The actions in these objects can be edited in the object studio if you wish to.
Before you can use any one of these you will need to import it into Blue Prism.

  1. Go to File then Import and choose Process / Object.

  2. This will start the import wizard.

  3. After clicking on Browse navigate to either (path may vary depending on your installation) C:\Program Files\Blue Prism Limited\Blue Prism Automate\VBO or C:\Program Files (x86)\Blue Prism Limited\Blue Prism Automate\VBO

  4. Double click the specific object you need and complete the wizard.
